This past week God blessed four GPL students and me with the incredible opportunity to work at the WELS Apache mission in Whiteriver, AZ. It was an unbelievable experience in which we got to help with the gardening program that serves as an educational experience for the children and adults of the reservation. This kind of program is necessary in the community for several reasons. It creates a great opportunity for kids to learn how fruits and vegetables grow and helps adults understand that a better diet can decrease the risk of persistent diseases,such as diabetes, in the community. It was a blessing for our GPL team of teens to be involved in the ministry of this WELS mission!
