Teens in Ministry: The AL Trip

Our Teens in Ministry had the opportunity to travel to Our Savior's Ev. Lutheran Church in Birmingham, AL, June 26 to July 2. We were privileged to participate in and to assist with the (W)hole in One Golf Camp which Our Savior's was hosting. Our teens started the week by canvassing and handing out 1600 invitation cards for the Golf Camp to individual homes in the surrounding subdivisions. We set up and managed a "mini course and driving range" on Our Savior's property which the campers used each day. The teens assisted with teaching the campers the game of golf and were involved with applying and transitioning the aspects of golf with Scriptural truths and applications. The week ended with time piecing all the lessons together for the campers at Timberline Golf Course in Calera, AL. We were truly thankful for safe travels, great fellowship and fun, and the opportunity to serve our Lord Jesus by being his lights of Christian witnesses, love, patience and excellence.
